RFTCC-Wingbiter Friday 12/5: Riverton Luminary Ride

Weather update in New Hartford center:
Temp at freezing and snowflakes on my windshield. Anyone who rides tonight is pardoned from previous "weenieness."
Weather is usually wrong around here... it's not going to be 32 degrees and freezing rain.. nope

Yup. I'll be there. Starting the ride is enough to pardon prior weenieness. One need not complete the ride if the weather deteriorates.
I can do cold, and I can do wet. Not up for cold & wet. Temps are supposed to rise and the snowflakes turn to rain. Put me down as a weenie.
I see from Strava that at least some of you guys actually did the ride despite it being dark, snowing, raining, cold, and just generally miserable.
I stand in awe of your insanity.

We started out with light snow. Things worsened as we rode on with sleet that hit our noses, and eventually a cold light rain that soaked our butts. There was some light snow on the side roads that slowed down the descents a bit and Greenwoods road had some ice in areas. Overall not a bad ride at all. We've been wetter and colder.
