RFTCC-Wingbiter Friday 1/9/15
There has been talk that, with evening temps of 25 degrees and possible am snow showers predicted for Friday, a hike might be preferable to a mountain bike ride. Please post here and tell me what you'd rather do on Friday night. (Staying home drinking hot chocolate with schnapps is not an available option. Neither is snuggling on the couch with your spouse; there'll be plenty of time for that afterward, when you'll need the warmth.)
Cheryl votes for hiking. (On the wrong thread, but she voted, and that's the important thing.)

I vote for hiking, then French onion soup!
Hike sounds great.
In my defense, I only had 3 hours of sleep - My flight was cancelled on Sunday and I had to stay in South Beach another day. Only flight out, got me home at 2 am Monday morning. And .... I was still on a skydiving high.
I'm in. (The other Mike)

A picture is worth a thousand words:
FYI - If you're late you buy :)

If you forget your hiking boots when you are going hiking then you definitely deserve to buy.
Don't you guys read the news? Maybe you should be drinking this before the ride this week.

On Friday night, we'll meet at 6:15 pm in the little parking area for Greenwoods Road off of East River Road in Barkhamsted. We'll hike the Elliott Bronson Trail to either the Indian Caves or Center Road, then back (about 4 miles). Wear hiking boots. Crampons (or yaktrax or microspikes) are also a good idea, in case there are icy spots.

Do we switch to snow shoeing?
