Just a heads up that West Mountain road in Simsbury is undergoing milling and paving over the next several weeks - from Bushy Hill Road north to Quorn Hunt Road. Completion date is scheduled for Sept 10th. This is a major route for those of us riding between Simsbury and Collinsville/Canton via Dry Bridge Road. Shingle Mill & Woodchuck Hill (area near Flamig Farm) is a good alternative as the road work won't go that far north.

Also, Bushy Hill Road (Route 167) and West Street (from Route 10 west to Simsbury High) have been repaved and will be receiving lane diets. The line painting is not yet complete, but hopefully the wider shoulders should make these busy routes a bit more bike friendly.
