Invitation to the EBCC Spring(??) Kick-off Event

Hard as it might be to believe at the moment, Spring is not too far off. So it must be about time for EBCC’s annual Spring Kick-off Dinner. Our festivities this year will be in New Hartford at the Berkshire Hall at Brodie Park and you are most cordially invited to attend.

This is a fully sponsored club dinner event open to all our current members, so mark your calendar! If you have not already renewed your membership for 2015, we encourage you to do so now. Membership can also be renewed at the event and 2015 club swag will be on hand for all paid up members.

Here is the pertinent data: Date: Sunday, March 15th. Time: 4:00 - 9:00 PM Location: Berkshire Hall, Brodie Park, 580 West Hill Rd New Hartford, CT 06057

Our guest speakers this year will be Pattie Jacobus and Larry Linonus, representing the Simsbury Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee and Simsbury Free Bike.

In addition to the presentation we will be discussing plans for the upcoming season. We also hope to have a sample (or at least an accurate mock up) of our new club clothing.

We hope you will join us for dinner and our related festivities! We’re looking forward to a lively evening. Come on out and enjoy the company of your fellow club members!!!

Our menu this year will be Lasagna, salad, bread, sodas and dessert provided. We are also hoping to be able to provide some craft beer for your enjoyment. (Non club members may also attend the dinner/meeting at a cost of $10.00.) So that we can provide a head count to the, please RSVP to me (tjwing01@gmail.com) by Tuesday, March 10th. If family members will be accompanying you, please give us a count of how many will be attending.

Just as a reminder - the closing date for ordering our new club clothing with Voler is 3/1. Please take a look at the club forum for topics related to the ordering process. The web site for the EBCC Voler store is http://www.voler.com/custom/ordering/li/8194.

Sounds awesome Tom, I'm there!

A further point of clarification. In the recent thread "Upcoming EBCC items for 2015" posted on 1/27 it was stated that membership renewal was not going to be available at the meeting as renewals were being handled with Paypal. The board has since taken steps that make it possible to accept checks at the spring dinner for renewals. However, as we all know checks cost money and kill trees. The Paypal approach is quick, green, and easy for anyone who would prefer to renew now as opposed to waiting for the dinner. It's also easier for your elected club treasurer to keep track of, and he knows where you live ;o)

Please help spread the word by asking fellow club members to check the web forum and their registered email accounts. We are trying to reach as many club members as possible but could use some help by word of mouth.
