I’ve had some feedback (see * below) from a couple of folks that they had not received this invitation by email, so I am posting it on the forum. This event is open to all active (paid up) EBCC members

Wow! Can Fall be on our doorstep already? Seems like summer is flying by! In any case, it’s time to be planning for EBCC’s annual Fall (I won’t say End of Season) Picnic.

This is your official invitation to join us again on Saturday, October 4th. and share some good food and drink and to regale us with the highlights, and/or maybe lowlights, of your season.

Again this year, Jim Rogoski has graciously offered to host the picnic at his home in Canton (11 Bel Aire Lane).

In keeping with our tradition, we will begin the day with a ride from Jim's house at 9:00 and follow up with the picnic at (or about) Noon. Food and drink will be provided by EBCC.

Concerning the morning rides; our hardworking route meister(s) is/are diligently planning routes for this year. We are planning on having three routes - a Soft Pace (SP) (relatively flat) ride and two Club Pace (CP) rides, one on the flat side and a second on the hilly side. Each will be in the 2.5 to 3 hour range. All of the rides will be focused on sociability.

Again, this year we will be treated to some very special handmade authentic German pretzels to be accompanied by a quality draft beer.

This will be in addition to some of the more traditional foods we've enjoyed in past years - the menu is still under construction. Non alcoholic beverages will also be on hand.

So, in order to plan for our food/beverage purposes, we ask that you RSVP to me (at tjwing01@gmail.com) by Tues.. September 29th. You, your spouse/significant other and/or children are invited. (Sorry, but no pets this year.) Please let me know how many will be attending and also please indicate which ride you may prefer, the SP, the flattish CP or the hilly CP.

All you will need to bring is your bike, a lawn chair for the picnic, your bathing suit (Jim has a pool) if the weather permits, and your appetite (which we will enhance with our morning ride!). A shower will also be available.

We are looking forward to a fun day and hope you'll be able to join us!!!

*I had originally sent the invite to all active members of EBCC. I’ve had a couple of responses from folks that they did not receive it, even though they are listed as active (i.e., paid up) members and whose email addresses are correct in our database. I’m not sure what the problem may be, so if you’re an active member and you’re seeing this for the first time on the forum, first, I apologize and second, could you drop me an email (tjwing01@gmail.com) to let me know so I can get some sense of the extent of the problem.
