CX Nationals!!!! Come support the racing in our Hartford!!!
Hi All,
US Cyclocross Nationals are in Hartford January 3-8th! The racing will change dramatically each day as the weather and the racing impacts the course. It is a great course, grueling, technical and very spectator friendly…once you park and walk over the pedestrian bridge to the race venue.
Parking is located at 3938 Pequot Street in Hartford. At that point, you will need to purchase a $15 wristband that provides access to all racing events each day. There is not an additional parking fee.
Personally, I recommend taking a backpack with additional clothing, etc. to keep you warm throughout the day. The walk back to your car is ot the most convenient. Don’t forget your cowbells and cheering voices!
I will be racing in a competitive field of Master’s Women 50-54 on Thursday, January 5th at 12noon…so take a walk at lunch or come to see some great racing! Following is the USA Cycling CX Nationals website for all kinds of schedule info. https://www.usacycling.org/2017/cxnationals
There are EBCC members, some being juniors, that are racing...including myself! The social part of this event is fantastic and by being there, you will be part of what contributes to a warm welcoming to racers traveling from all over the country to race in Hartford! In addition to the race venue, there are all kinds of events by Shimano, Thule & Cannondale and SRAM; most giving an opportunity to meet some of the pros, participate in some incredible raffle drawings, support CCAP and just to show our support of the CX Nationals being in Hartford…our own backyard!

Lastly, we have raffle tickets at Benidorm Bikes for the Shimano Party to benefit CCAP on Saturday, January 7th beginning at 7PM at the Black bear Bar in Hartford. Tickets are $10 and you can potentially win a Parlee Chebacco CX Frame, a Shimano Dura-Ace 9100 Groupset, Shimano RX830 Wheelset or many other raffle prizes at the event on the 7th! 100% of the money goes to CCAP! We also have cool Shimano scarves to help keep the chill out! Swing by and we can show you!
There is a lot of excitement about the Nationals…now I hope to see you out there, or at an event!
