Wingbiter Friday 9/4

Meet at 6 pm in New Hartford center for an old favorite. Want me to make reservations for Parrott and Delaney this week? Please RSVP on this thread so I know how many will stay afterward for libations.

Greg count me in

I'm in!

I hope to make it. As long as work doesn't get in the way like it has been all summer.

Could be my favorite route ever. Quiet roads, nice climbs and good times - what hooked me. I'm in. Parrot will be so happy that Brett and I are fully committed to a root beer and celery sticks between the both of us.

  • French onion soup, Rachel sandwich, wings, extra side of waffle fries, pitcher of beer, all you can eat bread and oddly flavored butter - $17.00
  • Watching your carnivorous friends tear into their meat-laden buffet while nibbling a celery stalk and sipping a short-pour glass of beer - $20.00
  • The expression on Ned's face when he's told to pony up a Jackson for eating a Clif bar whilst enjoying the company of his fellow cyclists.... Priceless

Bollocks. I won’t be there to ride or to see Ned’s expression, because we’ll be airborne as you climb up Sandybrook, most likely drinking the first Guinness of the trip. Or perhaps at that point it will be a Jameson……….

I will be fixing a heating system. Yeah, it is still summer. Have a great ride, see all next week

I plan to ride tonight and stay after. Michael... Red Mike

At mile 16.5 remember to look to the left. The mortification of the Colebrook farmers atop that hill has been realized. The huge windmills are now erected and should be in their plain view. Hopefully its not too dark to see what they objected to many years ago.

I won't be joining you tonight. Ride safely!

I believe you would have had to look to the RIGHT to see the mills. Driving out Rt 44 last evening we came around a corner and one windmill just appeared out of the distance like a skyscraper standing in the middle of the road. The size is very impressive. What a great ham radio tower it would make!

Yes, right. But there are no views to the right so what the heck are they complaining about?
