Wed 8/31 C Ride **5:30 PM START TIME**

Just a reminder that beginning this Wed, the C rides will begin at 5:30.

I am interested in joining your ride but am not a member. Do you require membership first or can I join the ride first to see if EBCC is a group I would like to join.

By all means, join us! Non-members are welcome on all our club rides. All we ask is that you sign a waiver, which I'll have with me.

Where is it that the group is meeting?

In Collinsville, at the parking lot adjacent to the rail trail, tomorrow at 5:30 pm.

Here is a map.

For info on all our rides just click "Rides" up at the top and that will take you to our ride calendar. Find the ride you want, click on it, and it will show you all the info for that ride (pace, location, meeting times, etc).

On the ride calendar, there's also a link to view the ride classifications. Take a look at that and make sure this ride is what you're looking for. It's a "C" ride, which means an average pace of 11-15 mph. That means you'll typically find the group moving at 15-18 on flats and under 11 on climbs. As a practical measure, your bike speedometer will probably tell you that you averaged 13-14 mph at the end of a C ride.

The weather is looking a bit dodgy but the weather guessers think it will be okay by ride time, so take a look here later. I'll post a go/no-go by 4:30.

The ride is on.

There are light showers all over radar but they seem to mostly be virga. We might get sprinkled on, but I don't expect anything major.

Don't have enough time to make it from Goshen. Have a good (hopefully dry) ride.

Sorry you couldn't make it.

The weather was looking dodgy enough that we decided to stay within easy range of Collinsville in case we got rained out. We did a nice 18 miles with 1000 feet of climb without ever being more than about 3 miles from the starting point. And as an added bonus the weather held off and we stayed dry.
