Tentatively, the ride is on.
I have to be in New Haven at 3pm for an appointment that will last about 1 hour. Drive time back to Collinsville is normally 1 hour, but I'll be colliding with the Hartford rush hour, so call it 1.5 hours. That puts me back in time for the ride, but just barely. If anything goes wrong, I'll miss it.
So before leaving for my appointment tomorrow I'll make a weather judgment. If the weather looks good, I'll post a route in case I don't make it back in time.
PS- I promise this route won't be the 99% uphill grind that last one I left you with was. ;-)
No need for a route map for this easy one:
Rail trail from Collinsville to Lawton Rd.
Lawton to Dry Bridge, right on Dry Bridge.
Climb Option: Left up Gracey to Sexton Hollow, to Woodchuck Hill, to Westledge (309), right on Westledge to Hedgehog
Flat Option: Dry Bridge to Notch Rd, to W. Mountain, to Westledge, left on Westledge to Hedgehog
Regroup at Hedgehog.
Continue on any of the usual Simsbury/Granby routes you like.
