"VINTAGE" Monday C ride Aug 28
In combination with the organized Monday evening C ride starting from west simsbury: The Vintage Monday night Bike ride continues piggybacking on the organized weekly evening ride. All are welcome to bring any older bicycle from year past and participate in the ride.
With hopes of others to bring out their vintage bicycles for a ride, I"m planning to ride a 1977 Raleigh competition bike with a newer drive train for the ride. It still has "27" gum wall tires " from years past"
Lets just say the tires are from about 40 years ago.
Bring your vintage bike to this ride. So other can appreciate where the "industry" has brought this sport.
Please bring your vintage bikes, to show others how things have changed over the years. THANKS ----Randy---

Randy- great idea, except my vintage bike is being ridden every day by a friend in Suffield. It is a 1975 vintage Marello, with full Campy set up. Came with sew-up rims/tires, which I replaced with clincher rims. Myself!
As for the "regular" ride, I do think it will be shorter, and slower (at least with my group) than last time. I was "reminded" that this is a C ride, and I respect that and will keep it in the 14-15 mph range. Those who want to go at a faster clip are welcome to go ahead. Lights are not a bad idea!
This "vintage" rider can't make it tonight, but wishes you a good ride. I like the theme!
