Tuesday Night Ride - 9/23 Simsbury

First night ride of the season. We'll do the traditional kick-off ride down into Tunxis Meade in Farmington; figure a little over 2 hours ride time.

Possible Route - until we change it

6:30 pm from the commuter lot at Iron Horse Blvd & Wilcox Street (Note new start time)

Cyclocross or mountain bikes

Head lights and tail lights required.

Winter pace strictly enforced.

Food/drinks afterward.

Boisterous gaiety and abundant merriment are mandatory. Those not having a good time will be asked to leave.

Unable to make this week, have a good one, and please; no scorpion-style face plants.

That's not a yoga pose? Phew I was getting nervous we'd being doing yoga on the trails.

What is winter pace, anyway?

Going slow enough to be able to stop and pull people out of the river.

No scorpion-style face plants, but there was an attempt at turning the ride into an aqua-bike event by a certain rider... Rider and bike were successfully retrieved from the river. No ropes needed, but may have been useful if available.

Do we get to guess the rider's identity?

Here's a hint. One could say the rider "modified" the ride to include the swim segment.

I need another hint. Was the rider in question "late" for the start?

In reply to Doug

Was it a down hill kom swim segment??

Was there a shrinkage issue?

Sounds like a reverse " Port-age" was added to the route!
