Tuesday Night CX/MTB Ride - 9/30 Simsbury

Last week you went South, this week we go North via the bike path then mostly roads over to Great Pond and work our way back through Stratton Brook. 20mi, 900/ft climb, pretty flat overall, back to lot in 2 hours. John had to take the week off, he's in Côte d'Azur closing on his custom built yacht and interviewing skippers. Here's the Link to RideWithGPS Route

6:30 pm from the commuter lot at Iron Horse Blvd & Wilcox Street

  • Cyclocross or mountain bikes
  • Head lights and tail lights required
  • Winter pace strictly enforced
  • Dismounts into open bodies of water optional
  • Food/drinks at Red Stone Pub afterward

Hey Chris, raining in Avon at about 2:45. Will you post ride status please? thanks!

Why is winter pace being strictly enforced in the first week of autumn? Does that mean spring pace is enforced in winter?

It's miserable out and I've got a da** cold so I'm staying in tonight.

I think we're still on, it doesn't look like rain from what I see... but I'm always open to the forecasting of our EBCC Official Weather Man...

It's difficult to bulk up for winter when you break 100 on the heart rate.

Go for it. Minor drizzle. Should make the roots nice and slippery.

I'm "Queening-out" of the ride. Going to go to the gym and bulk up

Thanks for braving the conditions Christian. I was pottery wet after that ride.
