Tuesday May 8th, B Ride (6PM)
It's another great night for a ride! We'll enjoy the nice temps as we head towards East Hartland.
We'll head out the usual Hedgehog/Saddle/Lenora/Old Farms/Firetown/Simsbury Rd. to reach Rt 20. The climb to East Hartland is gradual and nice pavement and can be taken at whatever effort you are inclined to do, as we will regroup at the church. Then we'll take on the fun rollers heading north on 179 to Lost Acres Orchard...going down to Rt 189. For the return, we'll head back on 189 to Day St., then stay on Simsbury Rd (not turning onto Firetown) to Barndorr Hills. Tonight we will stay on Barndoor Hills, crossing over Holcomb to then take a left onto Firetown. Shortly after, taking a right onto Laurel Lane and then right onto Great Pond to bring us back on Old Farms to our starting point. It's familiar territory, and a great way to keep working into our spring of riding!
See you for the roll out at 6. Blinky lights are another usual recommendation.

There is loose stone chips on the upper half of Lost Acres. Be careful on the descent
Thanks Dave...is it a chip seal gravel or just debris from winter/spring? How far down does it go? Would you recommend altering the route?
