Date: Sunday, November 1

Time: 9:00 am start [Don't forget to set your clocks back to Standard Time]

Starting Location: Salisbury, CT Town Hall, corner of Route 44 (Main Street) and Factory-Washinee. GPS coordinates: 41.981401, -73.422955 [Approximately 50-60 minute drive from Canton/Simsbury]

Route: Click here

Ride Description: Second annual revival of the legendary EBCC Tri-State Ride. Starting in Salisbury, CT, the ride climbs for six miles up Mt. Riga and Mt. Washington Roads, past Mt. Washington State Forest in MA, descends past Bash Bish Falls into Copake Falls, NY, where we will take a break at the Depot Deli. From there, we'll head south on the Harlem Valley Rail Trail and then head back to Salisbury on some back roads. The route is 31 miles and roughly 45% dirt/rail trail. Most of the dirt and climbing is in the first half of the ride. The second half is fairly flat with one short climb back into CT. Last year's ride was about 2.5 hours of riding time.

What to bring: Cyclocross bike (a mountain bike will do, but fast tires recommended); clothing appropriate for cold weather; sufficient food and fluids for a 3 -hour ride; money for the deli; all of your leftover Halloween candy.

Weather looks good. Cloudy and mid-40s in Salisbury at the start.

Don't forget the change to standard time.

I'll be there .

Any interest in commuting to the start? We could meet at the 44/179 parking lot and consolidate.

In reply to JRogowski

I'm in. As Betsy is coming with me to do a road ride, will meet you up there. ( i.e. My subaru is consolidated/commuting full.)

If you have room for me I'm in?No hitch on my current car or I'd offer to drive. I'd like to get there a little early to warm up as its a big climb right out of the gate.

You're taking this way too seriously.

In reply to DinoSore

I'm not. My knee is !

I'm in, and an offer to drive others. I have a hitch off the back that can hold up to four bikes. I can meet you at the 44/179 commuter lot at 7:30 ( or an other agreed upon time) Let me know if you're interested
