Thursday night hikes beginning 11/3
Do you miss the exertion and the camaraderie of the dumpster ride? Does the early dusk get you down? (Just wait 'til next week.) Would you like to get in another evening of exercise outdoors? Do you have to lose some of the weight you put on eating Halloween candy? If so, join me on Thursday evenings as I map out places to snowshoe this winter. Hikes start at 6:15 pm from the trailhead and will last about 1-1/2 hours. This week, I'll be exploring Sweetheart Mountain in Collinsville. The trailhead can be reached as follows: take Bridge St. in the center of Collinsville up the hill to Dunne Ave. Take a right on Dunne Ave. Take a left into the fourth driveway (for the block of apartments). The unpaved parking area is at the end of the driveway. Dogs, spouses, significant others, children, exes--in that order--are all welcome.

Sweetheart Mountain. You are hiking what used to be Canton Ski Club - closed 1975, I have a pic from 1975 looking down to parking area (no trees/ski hill then) on disk I can send if anyone wishes. Tom Q Have fun!
