Thursday dumpster rides, now 5:30 through end of September
Starting on 9/1, and throughout the month of September, Thursday dumpster rides will get underway at 5:30 PM. Rides are still "B" paced, no drop with regular re-grouping, and we're still meeting behind New Hartford Town Hall.

Hi, new to the group here. Looking to join in on some group rides in the area, but can someone explain what "B" and "C" rides mean? I didn't see any explanation anywhere, although I may have missed it. Thanks.
Hi Steven. Welcome to the club.
If you look at some past rides in the ride calendar, you'll see details about the pace and distance for each individual ride. It can actually vary by ride, within each pace level.
Generally, a "C" ride will be between 12 and 15 MPH, where a "B" ride will be more like 15 to 18 or 20 MPH. The amount of climbing can vary too, with the average pace being lower for rides with a lot of climbing.
Best approach is to try a "C" ride first, then move up to a "B" ride if the "C" ride wasn't challenging enough for you.
