Location: New Hartford Center (parking lot behind the police station - same location as the dumpster ride)

What the hell is this? Off-road cyclocross ride featuring the dirt roads around New Hartford, Canton, Collinsville, Burlington, etc. For those of you with inadequate bicycle inventories, a mountain bike will do. Rides will be mostly dirt roads and quiet back roads and can be fairly hilly. No single-track or mountain bikey stuff.

What to bring: Headlights, tail lights, cycling clothing appropriate for colder weather, change of clothes for the possibility of a post-ride beverage.

Why the hell should I come? This is an ideal way to create a calorie deficit before attending Friday night's "Celebration of Carcinogenic Processed Meats" at Jim's place.

Route: We'll figure something out.

Winter pace will be strictly enforced

Temps should be reasonably mild; low 60s (except for Bakerville, where it will be 28F)
