Thursday (10/22) Off-road Night Ride - New Hartford

Time: 6:30 pm Weather looks great this week.

Location: New Hartford Center (parking lot behind the police station - same location as the dumpster ride)

What the hell is this? Off-road cyclocross ride featuring the dirt roads around New Hartford, Canton, Collinsville, Burlington, etc. For those of you with inadequate bicycle inventories, a mountain bike will do. Rides will be mostly dirt roads and quiet back roads and can be fairly hilly. No single-track or mountain bikey stuff.

What to bring: Headlights, tail lights, cycling clothing appropriate for colder weather, change of clothes for the possibility of a post-ride beverage. There is a long-standing club tradition that grateful riders cheerfully buy beers for the ride leaders.

Route: Routes can vary from week to week, but we'll post the old Waynebiter route on the calendar as a default loop, since a lot of folks are familiar with it and it's generally pretty quiet.

We will Try this route again

Winter pace will be strictly enforced

I'll be there, and I promise not to hijack your route.

Is rain an issue? radar is a bit busy

I think we may be ok. We can change the rout in the parking lot and head towards canton

In reply to Brett

It looks like its breaking up as it heads east.
