I have been working with Riverdale Farms on the Avon/Simsbury town line to allow us to start a group ride out of their location. All permissions are in place so effective this week the Sunday morning ride is going to run out of there. It's a good meeting spot because there's ample parking, they have public Men's and Women's restrooms and even a foyer area should you need a place to warm up before/after the ride. Riverdale also has three restaurants that are open when our ride returns around Noon: Toshi (Japanese), Tower View Pizza, Avon Country Kitchen (Breakfast/Lunch)

Time: 9:00 am start

Meet at: Riverdale Farms, 124 Simsbury Road, Avon, CT 06001. Exact spot is next to Building 5 which is the parking area between The Hair Loft and the marked public restrooms (behind Avon Plumbing).

Parking: Any spot in the general Hair Loft, Avon Plumbing (backside), or restroom parking area. Please leave the spots near Toshi's back door entrance open. Don't want to make things difficult for their patrons.

Route: 12/13 Route Route Detail: Out Climax, up Bushy Hill to Stratton Brook to Old Farms. Up into Granby via Barndoor Hills, across East Street, Quarry and Phelps to the top of Mountain Road (RT168) in Suffield. Around Suffield Center, through Bradley Airport, weave through Rainbow to RT187 & RT189, along Duncaster, over Simsbury Mtn (RT185). Down Nod to Rt44 (very short section) and back to Riverdale Farms. The route is gently rolling with two short climbs (Phelps and RT185).

Regrouping? Yes....if/when the group splits apart. Its an off-season group ride with an emphasis on "group".
