Ride from the Northampton Rail Trail parking lot at the end of Exit 19 off I-91 @ 9:30 am. We’ll ride from there up to Ashfield then on to Shelburne Falls. Lunch will be at the Foxtown Diner in Shelburne Falls; great, inexpensive food in a very modest setting! I expect this ride will have a low head count. Most riders are heading to Stonington for Beth’s Birthday Ride. Ride is 55 mi and 3,000’. We should be alright as most climbing is relatively modest in pitch. Bring the usual water, snacks, etc. We can reload in Ashfield and Shelburne Falls. I do not know of any dirt on this route, but I’ve been surprised before! The ride is Sunday because Saturday looks like rain. If Sat clears up and is warmer I’ll change to Sat. We’ll see. Let me know.
