Sunday 10-4 Option
I'll just throw this out there...an option to the regular Sunday ride (or a replacement?)...
Paved and dirt roads out my way. Would require a CX bike and you'd be fine on a MTB as well. Meet in Litchfield (start TBA). 9 AM, 3-ish hours. I promise to include a view from the top of Mohawk Mountain where you can see all the way to Ohio (That's a lie. Just NY and MA) and there's always the chance for an Anderson Cooper sighting.
If the rain clears out by Sunday morning (and it looks like it will), I'm in. You're 0 for 4 on promised celebrity sightings so far.
I also will require an in-depth and detailed description of the expected varieties of dirt so that I can choose the proper hoops from my Tire Cellar.
Of course I meant Sunday 10-4. Stupid analog watch with a date that doesn't know the "30 Days Has September" thing...
I'll create a route sometime today and post...
Note the start is the Bantam Post Office parking lot. More/better parking and there's a port-a-john behind Arethusa Farms. (Which smells of gold, honey and expensive women's shoes)
As usual, I don't guarantee this is exactly the ride we'll do. If someone loads it on their Garmin, you can keep me focused and on track. There won't be any good water/snack stops on the route unless we pillage the homes of rich New Yorkers. (Hey! There's an idea!)
If the weather is good I am in too.
> You're welcome. Yes, I am.
I just realized we'll pass right by Nyberg's house at about mile 30. He won't be home (some silly thing going on in PVD), so we'll make a pit stop there, steal all his valuables, eat his food and drink his beer. Bring an extra backpack or two to carry the silver tea service and his collection of Fabergé eggs.

Is that just further up Doyle Road from where we met last time?
Pat, do you have a RidewithGPS map for this ride? I can't keep up with you guys, but I'd like to do it at a later date with some slower riders.
Forgot, It's Wade who may have a gps map for your ride. I claim senility. D
Why does Pat care about the route? Who's Wade?
You can download the file right from Strava and upload it to whatever you want.
I just changed the route slightly to add more dirt at the start. There will be more modifications en route, I'm sure so if I remember I'll post a link to the ride later today.
Looks like a great ride - I waited to long and wasn't ready this morning. I will make the next one (foliage & Dirt Roads!).

Be nice to Don! It's easy to get those bald Horst guys confused. At least he didn't just give up like Badger and call us all Gerry.
