SP ride tonight, 6-22-15

Here's the route

About 24 miles, the upper range of an SP ride. Let's take advantage of the late sunset.

I think the gate from the condo complex to Canton Rd is closed. I tried it last year. No big deal. I just jump the curb and ride across the little grassy patch then up to the school. Some folks don't like riding on dirt so they all don't follow me. See you tonight. should be perfect. D

That little bypass was put there by Map My Ride. I actually planned to ride to the corner of County and 10 and turn right there.

While hiking the Saturday before last, I TRIPPED OVER A ROCK, fell, fractured two ribs, punctured a lung and spent the next two nights in the hospital. Needless to say, I won't be on a road bike any time soon, but I'm on the mend and hope to be back before the end of summer. Happy riding everyone.

p.s. Any one have any experience with broken ribs?

Ouch! If you were aiming for maximum damage, you did a fine job of it.

Not personally but I know two things about them: 1) they hurt and 2) they take a long time to heal.

Larry, So sorry to hear you whacked yourself. I did a rib in last fall mtb riding. VERY painful and it didn't really heal until this past winter. I hope we see you for one of our real SP rides in the not too distant future. Of course, at our age we don't rebound quite as quickly, and we're no longer too dumb to ignore an injury! Best, Don
