Peak foliage in southern VT is predicted to be between Oct 6th and Oct 14th. CT should be a week later. I’m planning on riding a 45 mile/ 1900’ loop from Bellows Falls, VT, up the NH side of the CT River then west through Springfield, to Chester for lunch. Then it is either over the hill to either Grafton or Saxtons River depending upon how we feel after lunch. March Shafer did most of this ride with me a few years ago. It’s pretty mellow. Let me know if you want to join me. The day may shift as the weather reports become more fixed. If the weekend of 10/3 looks particularly good I’ll go a week earlier. This time of year I don’t want to miss a good day for a VT ride. Don

PS: I may extend this to 60+ miles by going up through Ascutney and back via Cavendish. Depends who wants to go and can stand my glacial pace.
