As part of a continuing effort to make our weekly calendar rides successful and enjoyable for all involved we are in 2017 hoping to recognize and show the club's appreciation for our weekly ride leaders. Being a ride leader is a big commitment that involves time, planning, and often a degree of self sacrifice for the good of the group. Our ride leaders commit each year to planning the routes, maintaining the advertised pace, managing regroup points and making sure no one gets left out on the road due to a mechanical or other reasons. It is a difficult job and we are fortunate to have dedicated individuals to fill these roles.

Ride leaders however, cannot do it all on their own and need the eyes and ears of everyone in the group to make a ride successful. Ride leaders need to be recognizable to the group to make this happen. For this reason, and in appreciation for their efforts, we are providing club jerseys for the ride leaders to wear in 2017. Thus far I have to been able to get out to the Monday C, Wednesday A, and Thurs A rides to distribute jerseys but we still need to provide them to the Tuesday B, Wednesday C and Thursday Women's ride.

If you have confirmed with Brett and/or Christian your commitment to being a ride leader, but have not yet received your leader's jersey please contact me at pmcunningham@charter.net and we can make arrangements.
