RFTCC-Wingbiter Friday 6/12, 6;30 PM FROM NORFOLK CENTER!!!!

There's a very good chance for a Tstorm at 7:00pm tonight only up in the NW corner. Would like to ride up there but not dodging lightning bolts. Can we keep an eye on the radar and move back to NH center with a more easterly ride if we see the storms threatening?

Unfortunately, I will again miss tonight's Wingbiter. And this would have been my first Wingbiter as a Grandpa! First grandchild born an hour or so ago. Logan, 8lb 10oz and 22" long. Gonna go see him and mommy/daddy this evening. Think it's too early to start looking for training wheels yet?

Congratulations Doug. Would think wheeling a shiny new tiny bike with training wheels into the hospital/home would be perfectly expected and acceptable for a new Grandpa.

I may try to intersect the ride by getting to the intersection of the 183 & Shantry, and following the route backwards until I meet you. (Shantry, Pine, Phelps, 182, Laurel Way, Shepard)

Can I get a confirmation that you'll be following that route and that we are doing this loop in a counter clockwise direction?

Thanks, Walt

In that case, Walt, we will be sure to follow the route as posted until the intersection with 183 and Shantry Rd. And yes, we will be riding it counter-clockwise.

Congratulations, Doug! It looks like the ride in a couple of weeks will have to be renamed, "Grandpa Doug's ice cream ride"!

That's the best excuse for a missing a ride!

congrats!!!

btw, I do still have the trailer from my kid

Is the trailer a 2 wheeled covered cart the kids sit in? I may want to borrow that for my granddaughter when I babysit

Thanks Greg. Assuming Jim's "lightning bolt" storm doesn't materialize (which it appears to be doing), I'll follow the Shepard/ Laurel Way beginning that Scott suggested to keep off the 44 our of Norfolk.

There's a low chance of a thundershower at 8 pm. We'll be hot and we'll welcome it by then. P.S. Most of you guys ride a carbon frame don't you? I'm the one who has to worry. See everyone at 6:30.

Jim's thunder storm has shown up

That storm cell may die out or pass south of Norfolk. Now, how about that tornado watch in effect for NYS just over the state line? Keep an eye to the sky.
