RFTCC-Wingbiter Friday 11/6 aka Who stole my brat?
Change of venue: Instead of meeting in New Hartford, let’s start and end in Canton, at Jim Magennis’s.
Who: Anyone who likes a hilly ride, and then afterwards, beer and food.
What: A road ride followed by a fire pit evening.
Jim: Will provide the beer, chili, hot dogs and s’more makings.
When: Friday, Nov. 6th, at 6 pm
Where : 81 Sexton Hollow Road, Canton (on the corner of Sexton Hollow, North Mountain and Woodchuck Hill Road. (Yeah, one corner, yet three road names).
Why: It’ll be a perfect fall night for being outside.
Warning: Hot dogs contain many carcinogens…… so enjoy at your own risk
Route: The "Fire Pit Ride"
A couple of cautions: The downhill on Cherry Brook (179) has some nasty potholes between miles 10-11 and 20-21 (the fastest section). MIght be tough to see them in the dark.
Enders is a little choppy for road bikes, but only about 1/2 mile.
Great! What should we bring for post ride activities? I like celery sticks cooked over an open fire. Mmmm.
Jim M. In case you need a count so you can plan on how many will be coming, Betsy and I will be there. We will bring some sort of sugar filled/unhealthy dessert.
Looking forward to this hilly ride as well as the after festivities. It would be helpful to know an approx. count, but I have all sorts of food, beer and s'more makings. But you can bring what ever you want as well. See you at 6:00, at 81 Sexton Hollow Rd, Canton
I'd like to split a s'more with Brett if he ever forgives me for posting the Weener mobile picture last week. Lord knows you don't want to try to sit between Doug and Christian when its s'more time. (Soon enough I'll alienate everyone).
Jim M I will be there too My parents may come too.
Jim R I forgive you only because you broke your #1 rule of posting on the thread and not showing up. Half a s'more sounds good I call the chocolate and marshmallow.
Sounds great!! I'll be there. I'm bringing something....not sure what yet. Thanks Jim for hosting:)
Drats! I won't be there tonight.
Im in, Alan
6:00-6:25 should be dry. After that, not so much. I'm out. Y'all ride safe now, ya heah?
Watch the radar. There isn't anything coming this way. It's to the north and drying up before the Hudson. Probably last chance for a Friday night ride in 2015 with temps in the high 60's.
