6 pm from New Hartford center. I'd like to do this route. The temperature at ride time will be in the 40's and a little cooler by the end and at the top of hills. I recommend: three layers on top, one short sleeve, two long sleeve; thin full-finger gloves; long pants; wool socks with gore-tex socks and/or neoprene shoe covers; head cover if desired.

black or red pants ?
Should be a chilly one but I will be there in black pants.
This ride would be more appealing if we went straight up West Mountain instead of the last loop and riding on 179. Even more appealing would a nice ride up sandy brook and back via smith hill, rt 20, and west or east river. It's gonna be windy and cold. After today's weather, I'm definitely in winter mode.
With a thought about the weather and snow on the ground tonight, Im going to watch the rerun Brent posted of the Hill fest from this past summer. Afterwords I will think softly about this ride friday night.
Seriously, sounds like a good route, But not sure if you want to count me in ...Yet. ---Randy---
I'll be there, sporting black pants
I'll be there tonight with black pants also. Along with most of my winter gear:). Brrrr:)
