Res Loop 4/27 - Another "Classic" Start
Just throwing it out there that again this week there will be a group leaving from Berg Field at 5:15 for the last official Res Loop for April.
I will also be leaving from the commuter lot at the intersection of Routes 44 and 179...by Petals and Paws at 5:15PM, and meet the group at the Saville Dam. I will also ride back to that point at the completion of the loop. Who would like to join me?
I will once again target a 5:30 roll out from DD in New Hartford (although this week I plan to be there on time). ETA Saville Dam at 5:45.
Tom, I may join you at Berg Field...unless anyone is planning on leaving the Saville Dam early (5:30) to get a head start on the rest of the group.

Jan, if you're heading up 179 rather than the back neighborhoods I will plan to join you on 179 at my road. Slight risk I'm delayed so don't wait for me.
Jan, I'll join you 5:15pm at the lot. Tim
Started with Tom Wing, Sam Slater and Laura Jensen at 5:10 from Berg Field. Rode by the Seville Dam at 5:30 and decided not to stop. Thought some of you would run me down before I reached East Hartland Center. I averaged 15 mph from the Seville Dam to East Hartland and calculated that you would have had to average 20 mph to catch me if you stated on time at 5:45. Very quiet out there by myself on all those hills :)
Big thanks to Dan and Ron for rigging up Beth's bike and staying with her so she could finish the loop after her shifter cable broke. Also to everybody else who waited around until we located her.
It's reasons like these that EBCC does NOT qualify for this designation!
Dysfunctional Cycling Clubs
Yes a huge thank you to Daniel and Ron!!! I wish I took a photo of the creative fix they did so I had a few extra gears. Wow the Rez is fun on a 2 speed! Thank you also to all who waited or came searching for me. This club is the best!
I also want to thank BENIDORM Bikes for the wonderful and quick service. It was a good reminder about the importance of changing cables every year or around 2000 miles. The miles add up quickly and it's so easy to forget this important part of bike maintenance.
