(New post on old thread!) Tuesday, 9/12 Fall Ride 6 pm from the parking lot on Iron Horse Boulevard in Simsbury
Announcing the first cross bike ride (mountain bikes also okay if that's what you have) starting from the parking lot on Iron Horse Blvd. in Simsbury. Areas to be explored this week include: Stratton Brook Park, fields behind St. Alban's Church, Ethel Walker Woods, Fisher Meadows. Wheels roll at 6 pm. (We'll switch to 6:30 later in the season) since we still have plenty of daylight.

Lights are a must! Greg will bring the paracord
I will join you guys after Italy.
What kind of tires are you guys running for these rides?
The knobby ones my cross bike came with--clinchers with inner tubes, Vittoria Cross XL Pro I think?--inflated to 60 p.s.i.
I hope that these rides are happening again in 2018? Any idea on what day of the week? I'll be coaching Farmington Valley Youth Cycling's CX team on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings but otherwise should be able to make the ride. Really looking forward to it.
I was thinking of doing these rides on Monday evening, which won't interfere with cycling in the studio on Tuesday and Thursday nights. I have yet to talk to Bruce and some of the other "regulars."

I think we will start as it gets dark too early for the Monday C rides. Call me a regular. My cross bike is ready to go!
