Monday SP Ride

Aren't we starting at 5:30 until sometime in May? It still gets dark pretty early.

I'm pretty sure this year's schedule is the same as last year's. Sunset is at 7:20 so that gives an hour and a half.

The weather may not cooperate tomorrow anyway. Last weekend there was still snow at the end of the parking lot! Let's keep our fingers crossed and make a determination tomorrow afternoon. If we ride, it'll be short and social.

OK, will wait for an update tomorrow.

I'm for 5:30 -

I seem to recall 5:30 at the beginning of the season....

That's what I though as well, but the calendar says 6:00. The Tuesday CP ride starts at 5:30 for the next two weeks. Looks like the weather may cooperate tomorrow early evening so we can change the time to 5:30 if that works out for most people.

I checked the ride calendar from last year. The rides started the second week of April at 6.

6 pm? Please? For the working stiffs?

Tonight's ride will begin at 6:00PM, West Mountain Road park in West Simsbury. This is a short ride, about an hour at a social, early season pace. If you are not a club member or have not paid your dues, you will have to sign a waiver.

Great! Looking forward to it!

Is this an ice cream ride?

In reply to Dr.Bruce

I need to shed the 10lbs gained this winter.

Actually, ice cream isn't a bad idea for later in the season...Tulmeadow is close by.

It has long been a mystery for me why the Monday night rides never stop for ice cream. That's just not natural or healthy.

Nice ride last night. The ride leaders did a great job of splitting the group into two rides and it worked really well. I can't speak for the other group but I'm pretty sure everyone in Don and Carey's group enjoyed the ride, I know I did. Good group, good pace, nicely timed route to return us to the parking lot just before dusk. Great start to the SP season. Thanks ride leaders!
