Saturday’s ride from Millerton was lots of fun & beautiful scenery; good pit stops in Ancramdale and Copake Falls. Bumped into Janet and Rich during our pit stops. Jane, Marc, myself, and a very nice fellow from the Albany bike club did a 48 mile 2300’ ride following most of the Harlem Valley Ride scheduled for today.

This week is up in the air a bit. The Monday and Wednesday “C” rides have pretty “iffy” weather so I’ll make a late afternoon call when I know better about potential storms/showers/lightening/etc. Dr. Bruce will make his own call for the faster riders.

I'm changing this ride from Saturday to Sunday due to the latest weather report. We’ll leave from the parking lot @ the Canaan railroad station/Collins Diner on RT 44 @ 9:00 am. Park as far from the Diner as possible. The trip goes from N. Canaan - Sheffield - Egremont - Green River - Hillsdale - S. Egremont (lunch) and return. Bring plenty of water and a few snacks as we won’t pass through by a store until we get back to Mom’s in S. Egremont @ mile 34.The ride is about 49 miles with 2300’ of climbing, almost exactly the distance and climbing we did this past Saturday. Use the McDonalds on RT 44 for your last pit stop; not much opportunity after that. Any questions let me know. I’ll do a “last call” Friday morning, but I’d appreciate any folks who are planning on riding to let me know sooner.
