40 degrees?!

Testing...testing....does this thing still work? I haven't checked the forum in at least a month...

Any interest in a ride Sunday? Calendar says 9:00 AM but...10 might be better/warmer. I'm looking to get 4 hr. in. Pace will be BDAWP. Any type of bike is fine, as long as it has FENDERS. Departure can be from the shop or C'ville or?

Darn - will be out of town.

Definitely interested but not feeling well now. Hopefully better by Sunday. Four hours might be a bit of a challenge seeing that I now have 4 chins, asthma and type 2.

BDAWP? Look at the calendar man, it's the season opener at Plainville!

  • Yes, I realize you are "retired" from racing.

  • Yes, I realize that being retired you may not realize that Jim switched the Plainville races to Sunday.

  • Yes, I realize that there is still 4' of snow on the ground and 8" frost heaves on the course.

But BDAWP? It's supposed to be BDALST (Benn Dunn Approved Leg Shearing Time).

In any event, I might be interested.

I may be up for this also . Keep me posted.

I might be interested.

Steve

What's with all this "maybe/I'm interested"? We'll have to re-name this the On the Fence Ride. Did I happen to mention it's supposed to hit 40? What more could you ask for based on the weather and temps for the past 3 months?!

Departure time is 10 AM from Collinsville, route to be determined. Depending on who shows we can create something that allows for easy bailout options for those (James) who want to ride a shorter distance.

Ride towards Plainville and we'll head back with you. It'll be flat and cold, just like old times.

Gosh, I'm looking at the forecast for Sunday and it's saying somrthing like 70 at 10:00AM. Four hours sounds good to me!

Four hours will get you back after 2PM. Is an hour enough time to get ready for dinner? :)

In reply to wpprescott

Ok , I'm in but will peel off early due to prior commitments. May not have fenders so I will ride at the back.

Tom , in what state will it be 70 degrees on Sunday ???

Make your own fenders!

Good point! I hadn't thought about that. Will have to head out at 9:00 I guess. That'll give me time to squeeze in a nap too!

Florida.

I'll be there on CX bike w/knobbies.

Steve

I may start at 9:00 as I'm time crunched. So I may not be there.

If you start at 9, consider riding through C'ville at 10 to meet us.

I had to ride with somebody yesterday who made these. Quite possibly the most useless design idea ever. Just buy some damn fenders, all you cheapskates!

Just ignore that snow falling right now (in Litchfield, at least). I'll still be there at 10. It will change to rain eventually and we'll be just fine. :)
