4/29 - Alice's Restaurant Ride (Mixed Surface/Gravel)
The weather is looking pretty decent for Saturday so I'm planning to go out for a long ride and figured I'd see if anyone wanted to join me! Time of departure is still TBD as I can work with others schedules, but plan on a long day in the saddle.
This route Click Here (85mi with 6700') is inspired by the Arlo Guthrie song, "Alice's Restaurant" and passes by many of the locations mentioned in the song. Along the journey, we should pass through quiet paved roads, some great dirt/gravel roads, and we'll pass through Berkshire towns were we can refuel for the remainder of the trip!
Durable 28c tires ridden "lightly" could work, but 30c+ would definitely be more comfortable and less stressful.
If you are interested in joining me just let me know and we can plan more of the details.

Holy cow! This ride yesterday was really an enjoyable route that I hope others will join me on in the future! The beginning and end of the route was mainly gravel while the middle was quiet Berkshire back roads.
Stopping at the church (Guthrie Center) was pretty neat and the folks there were more than happy to fill up bottles!
Looks like a great ride, and I like the theme ride idea. I've ridden many roads up near Stockbridge.
