Hi all, Tonight's ride will cover the gentle rollers heading north through West Simsbury, North Granby and just entering Massachusetts (South of 57) to return via North Granby and West Simsbury. It is terrain suitable for a nice group ride, that doesn't have sustained climbing. (28 miles)

I would like to make sure that as we roll out today, that we separate into appropriate groups to allow for good ride experiences for all. Yes...there is a tendency for speeds to creep up, but our efforts will be to keep this a B Pace Ride, where an average speed will be between 16-17mph. For those that have ridden with the group in 2016, there seemed to be an increasing pace, that many have been able to enjoy. As we continue into the early spring of 2017, we would like to make sure that the B Pace is recognized, and confirm that a pre-ride briefing and potential regrouping spots are identified. As the season unfolds, we will explore the addition of a B/A ride. For now, let's reinforce great ride etiquette, pacelines and the continued development of fitness and skill.

By all means, you can go at your effort on the climbs, but we will always be regrouping at the designated areas, and other spots as necessary.
