4/14 Early season Granby-Suffield-Southwick Loop: 35mi/1200'

Sat is a conditioning ride of modest length and climbing @ 35 miles and only 1200’ . We’ll start from the rail trail parking lot at the intersection of RT 189 and the rail trail just south of Granby center. We’ll head south to Tariffville then north toward Suffield and Southwick. We will probably stop @ Red Riding Hood’s Basket (if it is still open) for a snack before heading south to Granby. We’ll use short sections of rail trail, but most of the trip is on roads: all paved as far as I know. Start time is 10:00 am so folks can get early errands done. End time is probably 1:00-2:00 depending on the usual limitations. The biggest unknown at this early date is the weather. I will announce a NO/GO later in the week when the forecast is more reliable. At the moment the forecast is for temps in the high 60’s and partly cloudy. Keep your fingers crossed that the cold front doesn't move south.
