A co-worker at Pratt & Whitney asked me to help get the word out ...

He has been participating in West Hartford Special Olympics Cycling for the last 8 years as a partner, has found it incredibly fulfilling and in fact it got him back into active cycling after a 20+ years lapse. There is currently a need for several volunteers to be cycling partners for Special Olympics athletes, due to the growth of the West Hartford program. The commitment is 2 one hour long practices per week (typically Saturday and Thursday after work) during April and May, participating in the qualifiers the 3rd week in May (usually on a Sunday), and the Special Olympics summer games (1st weekend in June). He's seeking volunteers to help these amazing athletes and to experience the joy of participating in Special Olympics.
