Ride for Ben - Oct 14 2:00PM - Raising Asthma Awareness

In January of 2014, seven year old Benjamin Buckley passed away as a result of a severe asthma attack.

Please join the 3nd Annual Ride For Ben (https://www.bikereg.com/rideforben2016) , a cycling event in his memory. All proceeds go to Ben Was Here Inc., a non-profit charitable organization to help fund asthma research, medications, scholarships, and Arts & Technology in local schools. All events will kickoff at 2pm!

The two routes pass through scenic, rolling terrain in eastern Wallingford (15 mi. Tyler Mill route), and Wallingford, Middlefield, and Durham (27 mi. Lyman Route). See our interactive map of the routes, and here for a great review from last year. The carefully chosen routes are picturesque, and perfect for a "hookey ride" on a Friday afternoon in October. You'll want to come back and ride this area again!

Helmets and good riding etiquette are required. This is a semi-supported ride (group leaders and marked directions, but no maintenance or traffic control).

This year also features a walking option, in the rear parking lot of the Campus at Greenhill. See registration page for details.

Complimentary post ride/walk refreshments provided by Burns & McDonnell.
