ERRACE anyone?

I registered for the ERRACE 50 mile ride on Saturday July 11th (http://www.errace.org/). Anyone want to join me? Maybe we could even put together a team? Let me know.

I would definitely like to do the 50 miler in memory of a very good friend and cyclists who recently passed away from breast cancer. We did the 50 last year when she was full of chemo. What sort of speed are we talking about?

Hi Robin,

Glad you're interested. As to pace, probably on the low end of CP, 14-15mph. I could God slower if needed. It depends on who else is interested.

My wife Veronica and I will probably do the 50 mile route under the EBCC banner, but at different paces. My sons would do 50 under their CCAP team, and I would do my best to hang on to Wyatt's wheel again this year.

Okay, so Veronica would do a slower pace? Looks like we have the beginnings of a team. . .

Turns out that Wyatt will be away that weekend, but Veronica and I will definitely be there. Maybe Derek too, in his CCAP kit. Veronica is undecided between MTB or 50 miles on the road that day. If she does the 50 mile road ride, it would be a slower pace.

This is a great event. If the ride itself isn't enough, the post-ride buffet, raffles and free SportTek shirt should make everybody want to join in. The ENTIRE registration fee goes to fighting cancer.

I'm happy to do a slower pace with Veronica. Would be nice to ride with someone

For those that haven't done errace, it's a great event. It has some of the best stocked rest stops, it's very well marked and the routes are challenging and a good mix of terrain and scenery. Even the strongest riders will find someone the ride with (a select group looks to do it in under 5 hrs). I highly recommend it. They raise a ton of money while also having one of the lowest entry fees around.

Are any EBCC'ers doing the 100-miler? I'm interested but not interested in the RP end of things. Post here if you want to be part of an IP-minus group.
