EBCC Fall picnic, Saturday November 16

A little later in the season than has been our tradition, but it’s still fall so let’s do this!

This year the board has decided to hold the EBCC fall picnic at the Norbrook Brewery on Saturday November 16. We will be bringing in pizza and some non-alcoholic drinks as well as Jan’s now infamous roll of beer tickets! Festivities will be begin at 2pm which should allow everyone to exercise their favorite steed beforehand whether that be a road, gravel or mountain bike. Watch the forum and the club’s Slack site for group ride plans as they develop.

A 5 pm Mike Cobb and the Haystack Mt. boys will be performing live in case anyone wants to extend their event into the evening hours.

If you plan to attend please RSVP to jjmagennis@gmail.com so we have an idea of how much pizza to bring.

Here is a 24 mile mixed surface route suitable for gravel/cross bikes. I was thinking of riding at noon for a 2 hour ride, but I have some other family obligations that may prevent me from getting there to ride before the meetup.

Looking forward to see y’all tomorrow, at Norbrook at 2:00 We have 37 club members attending, which means we’ll have a great time.

Here’s a few updates:

The mtn bike trails are open and some will go early and ride the trails. And other might hike them.

We don’t seem to have any interest in an organized road or gravel ride but there are all sorts of options of you want to do so.

Norbrook has reserved the room upstairs for us, which is found just past the bar area, but we might also be scattered on the first floor as well.

See ya then

I'll be there at noon for the 24 mile gravel route.
