CT Cycling Advancement Program (CCAP) Breakaway Benefit Ride - Saturday, 5/13 - Powder Ridge in Middlefield

Eastern Bloc Cycling Club members have a well-earned reputation for supporting young cyclists. My sons Derek and Wyatt cut their road riding teeth on Coleman's Tuesday night Simsbury rides, and I truly appreciate that EBCC members have always donated generously to the CCAP effort.

I hope you'll join me on Saturday May 13th for the annual CT Cycling Advancement Program's Breakaway Benefit Ride. P&W and UTC employees and retirees should consider joining me on the P&W fundraising team. Breakaway Benefit fundraising supports youth cycling in Connecticut's schools, town programs, and independent organizations. There are nearly 500 kids enrolled in 35 different CCAP programs (MTB, CX and Road) throughout the state.

If you can't participate in the event but still want to make a difference in the life of young CT cyclists, I hope you'll consider making a donation to my fundraising efforts. CCAP Breakaway Benefit Ride

I have a friendly bet going with my son Wyatt, that I can raise more donations than he can. (You'll have to find the link to HIS page on your own wink )

Thanks very much to those EBCC members who have already contributed!

If you've been on the fence about making a donation, this is the time to contribute. From 4/24 through 4/30, all donations are being matched by Dwight Johnson (a long time supporter of junior racing in Connecticut. CCAP Matching Announcement

Remember, no donation is too small!
