CCAP / FVYC Breakaway Benefit, Sunday 6/21, East Lyme AND A Riverton ITT Challenge!

Although our CCAP kids can’t ride and race together right now, it’s important that we maintain our momentum and continue with our mission to get kids on bikes. There’s still a financial need for things like coaches’ licenses, training, continuing education and background checks. And when the “Stay Home” directive is lifted, we’ll be back with a vengeance with as many CCAP MTB, Road and CX events that we can reasonably squeeze into what’s left of the year. Here’s my challenge.

1) Sign up as a riding or fundraising member of the FVYC / CCAP / Eastern Bloc Cycling / Benidorm Bikes Breakaway Benefit Ride* team any time during the month of April.

I’ll make a donation of $300 total, split evenly among all of our fundraising team members who are registered for the team before 5/1.

2) I’ll make additional $30 donations to our adult fundraising team member AND our junior fundraising team member with the fastest time on the Riverton – Pleasant Valley TT Strava segment during the month of April 2020.

The Rules: You must register as a member of our fundraising team before 5/1/2020 to be eligible.
Only segment times logged AFTER you register for our team are eligible for the fastest time awards.
Social distancing applies – segment times logged as part of a group ride are ineligible, unless you were chaperoning a junior team member who is part of your household. No cheating … Strava knows!

Interested in upping the ante by offering an additional matching pledge? Shoot me a message or email.

*This year’s CCAP Breakaway Benefit event is scheduled to take place on Sunday June 21st at White Gate Farm in East Lyme CT. Minimum fundraising requirements apply to adults who ride that day. Juniors are encouraged to set fundraising goals too. There will be food, drink and music, and Cannondale will be there with their demo fleet! This year’s ride is dedicated to past CCAP Executive Director Dave Hoyle. What better way to celebrate a return to cycling normalcy! See event notes for all the details.
